Hearing loss has, for a long time, been considered a problem of the older people, but the most recent MarkeTrac study put out by Sergei Kochkin shows that a significant portion of the people with diagnosed hearing loss are still younger than retirement age. People in their late forties and fifties have begun to show sings of hearing loss, and many are choosing to deal with the problem head on rather than wait and take a chance on being bypassed for a promotion. The same study showed that people with hearing loss that had it treated, (wore hearing aids), made 10-20% more annual salary than those who had untreated hearing loss. In other words, do you want to be paid better? Then treat your hearing loss.
