History
The founder of Beltone, Sam Posen, first designed a hearing aid in 1930 to help a friend get more enjoyment in life. Ten years later he incorporated the company as Beltone and began researching how to better assist those in need of amplification. They have now been doing this for almost 80 years and are still among the leaders in hearing technology.
Products And New Technologies
As with most of the hearing aid manufacturers, Beltone has a full lineup of products to suit most every hearing need. They also are among the first to produce a line of instruments, called Beltone First, which are controlled through an iPhone application, which allows all of the functions of the hearing aid to be controlled through the iPhone. This has the major benefit, for those who have the iPhone, of not needing to carry an extra remote control around in order to make changes to the performance of their hearing aid.
